The half way mark

I can't believe that we are at the half way mark in this class. We have learned a lot of useful technological applications. My problem is having the time to reconstruct my lesson plans to include these new techniques. I'm hoping that over the summer I will be able to rewrite all of my lesson to include more technology usage.

Trying to reconstruct them all might be overwhelming. How about for just one course or one subject area, or perhaps even just one or two units per semester? Start small and build your successes, rather than frustrations. :)

Ann's right. I couldn't agree more. The best way to make progress is to take baby steps. The small successes will motivate you to keep going. Facing a huge task (all the lessons) tends to feed the urge to procrastinate.

It is important to remember you don't have to redo all of your plans to include technology. First, it would overwhelm anyone...it is better to pick and choose which it looks like everyone else has already said. Also, just like with any other instructional strategy, doing something (even technology!) during every lesson may be overkill and lead to students not being as motivated. Take your time and pick a few lessons to make really awesome.
